The Degree in Artificial Intelligence transmits the methods and techniques necessary to design and apply Artificial Intelligence in order to solve real problems that, inherently, are very complex. At the end of the course, students will be able to develop and deepen Artificial Intelligence solutions based on large volumes of data and complex scenarios that involve the use of programming, automatic learning (i.e., machine learning), optimization, and advanced algorithms to provide intelligence in technological and IT solutions.
The areas of application of the acquired knowledge are very diverse and include: the financial sector, public administration, telecommunications, energy, industry and commerce, as well as a very varied set of small, medium and large service providers. dimension, considering the scope of Artificial Intelligence in the contemporary world.

If, in the past, it was an exclusive term of science fiction and advanced research, Artificial Intelligence is now everywhere. From mobile phones - which learn through our behavior to later offer us a better experience - to automation in industry with a view to improving efficiency, Artificial Intelligence (or AI) has become part of our daily lives.
However, there is still a lack of qualified AI professionals who can quickly integrate into organizations and take advantage of these skills for the benefit of organizations.
In contrast to the generality of training at Bachelor's level, which is too comprehensive and places the focus of specialization on a subsequent 2nd cycle through a postgraduate or master's degree, the Degree in Artificial Intelligence proposed by Iscte-Sintra essentially aims to train professionals who are capable of applying AI derived from learning the theory through practice that the course offers, that is, learning through the application of methods and techniques to solve problems in an organizational context.
