Programmes can offer all vacancies in the first phase or distribute them by phase. Vacancies not taken up in a phase are carried over to the next phase. The opening of the next application phase is subject to the existence of vacancies.

Requirements

The following are eligible to apply for the PhD in History, Security and Defense Studies:  

  • Holders of a master's degree or legal equivalent;  
  • Holders of a bachelor's degree with an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized as attesting to their ability to complete the doctorate;  
  • Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized as attesting to their ability to complete a doctorate.  

Candidates who are required to obtain a visa are advised to formalize their application in the early stages.

Application procedures

In addition to the requirements indicated in the previous point, the application process includes the submission of the following documents:  

  • Curriculum Vitae;  
  • Motivation letter;  
  • Certificate(s) of Qualifications (with proof of degree obtained and transcript of grades with all curricular units and classifications)
