Support for the application begins upstream, when the candidate looks for an admissions office to understand which competitions align with their candidate profile.

DGES/IES APPLICATION PLATFORM - PASSWORD AND INTERNAL NUMBER
Access password
- The password is requested online, on the DGES/IES website, and the candidate indicates:
- identification number or internal number;
- full name (according to identification document);
- e-mail address they intend to use;
- place of delivery of the request (secondary school or GAES);
- and submits the request.
- The system sends an email with a confirmation link.
- The candidate accesses the link, print the order confirmation receipt and deliver it to the secondary school or GAES. If you nominate GAES Iscte, you must send the following documentation to admissions@iscte-iul.pt:
- Receipt of the password request signed by the candidate and legal guardian, in the case of minor candidates - in PDF or JPEG format;
- Copy of the candidate's and legal guardian's identification document, in in the case of minor candidates - in PDF or JPEG format.
- After validation of the request, the password is sent to the candidate's email.
The assigned access password is only valid in the year to which the application relates. The access password can be used in all application phases of the same year.
Internal number
- To access the DGES online application platform, the candidate needs to have a valid Portuguese identification number.
- Candidates who do not have a valid Portuguese citizen card or identity card need an internal number to access the platform. This internal number is requested when the candidate makes their password request, indicating which Office of Access to Higher Education (GAES) they wish to issue it.
REQUEST FOR AN ACTIVATION FORM
A Activation form is a code that allows candidates who have not taken Portuguese national exams to start and submit their application online to the National Call. This form replaces the ENES* form.
*The ENES form is the document that lists the national exams carried out and their respective classification. The ENES form is requested at the secondary school where they took place and is essential for the online application, as it contains a code without which it is not possible to proceed with it.
APPLICATION FOR THE SPECIAL REGIME
The special regimes are aimed at students who meet specific qualifications and personal conditions, identified in each of the regimes, being an autonomous form of access, distinct from the General Regime and Special Competitions.
Candidates for Regimes A, B, C, E and F must submit their application on the platform special regimes online within the deadline set in the calendar. The application for special regimes D and G is submitted to the Embassy of the respective country in Portugal.
