Este documento descreve um projeto em empresa realizado para resolver um problema
organizacional no âmbito da gestão. Este projeto foi realizado nas áreas de Gestão de
Armazém e Inventário na kencko, uma start-up portuguesa que reinventa produtos biológicos
de fruta e vegetais. O problema de pesquisa do projeto estava relacionado com um armazém
de um operador logístico subcontratado (3PL) usado pela kencko para armazenar a grande
maioria do seu inventário. Este projeto resume-se na otimização e documentação dos
processos logísticos entre a kencko e o 3PL e na avaliação do desempenho de ambos no
registo do inventário armazenado no armazém 3PL.
Para a metodologia de pesquisa, após contextualizar o projeto, uma revisão bibliográfica
relacionada com o assunto em questão será fornecida e utilizada como base para a recolha
de informação e dados para resolver o problema de pesquisa. Será realizada uma pesquisa
mista, recolhendo informação por métodos qualitativos e quantitativos. A análise desta
informação permitirá tomar decisões sobre que soluções desenvolver e implementar para
otimizar esta relação com o 3PL.
Os resultados deste projeto foram: a otimização dos processos logísticos de entrada e
saída de inventário do armazém 3PL; a realização correta das atividades de registo dos
movimentos de inventário no armazém 3PL; a documentação de processos relacionados com
o 3PL; e a avaliação da kencko e do 3PL na precisão do registo de inventário, com resultados
satisfatórios obtidos. Este projeto criou valor para a kencko, pois resolveu um problema nas
operações de rotina e estratégicas da empresa.

This paper describes an in-company project performed to solve an organizational problem
under the scope of management. This project was carried out in the areas of Warehouse and
Inventory Management at kencko, a Portuguese start-up that reinvents organic fruit and
vegetable products. The project’s research problem was related to a third-party logistics (3PL)
warehouse used by kencko for its inventory storage. This research project summarizes in the
optimization and documentation of the logistics processes between kencko and the 3PL and
the evaluation of both parties’ performances regarding the recording of the inventory stored at
the 3PL warehouse.
For the research methodology, after a contextualization of the research project, an
extensive literature review related to the matter in hand will be provided and used as the basis
for information and data gathering to solve the research problem. A mixed research will be
performed by gathering information and data through qualitative and quantitative methods. The
analysis of this information will allow to make decisions on what solutions to develop and
implement to optimize kencko’s relationship with the 3PL.
The results from this in-company project were: the overall optimization of the inbound and
outbound logistics processes regarding the 3PL warehouse; successfully performing the
recording activities of inventory movements at the 3PL warehouse; the documentation of
several 3PL-related processes; the evaluation of kencko’s and the 3PL’s inventory record
accuracy, with satisfying obtained results. This research project created value to kencko as it
solved an existing problem in the company’s routine and strategic operations.
