Partindo do lançamento da proposta de um hotel de 5 estrelas do programa REVIVE, que prevê a recuperação e valorização de património histórico e cultural de interesse, assim como a sua integração no território em questão, nasce o exercício final do Mestrado Integrado de Arquitetura.
A proposta aqui apresentada procura compreender e redesenhar um local de alto interesse e importância histórica, a 7ª Bateria da Costa do Outão, assim como também responder às necessidades do programa e do local em questão, o Parque Natural da Arrábida.
A preocupação de intervenção num local tão específico nas suas características leva à criação do tema aqui proposto, a criação de uma artificialidade (o projeto de um hotel) que protagoniza a sua envolvente natural (Serra da Arrábida). Ou seja, a Caixa Panorâmica.

Starting with the proposal for a 5-star hotel under the REVIVE programme, which aims to recover and enhance historical and cultural heritage of interest, as well as its integration into the surrounding territory, the final project for the Mestrado Integrado de Arquitetura was conceived.
The proposal presented here seeks to understand and redesign a site of significant historical interest, 7ª Bateria da Costa do Outão, while also addressing the needs of the programme and the specific site, Parque Natural da Arrábida.
The challenge of intervening in such a unique location leads to the theme proposed here: the creation of an artificial element (the project of an hotel) that highlights its natural surroundings (Serra da Arrábida). In other words, the Panoramic Box.
