Futuros Para el Tenis (FPT) is a community intervention project that develops in Santa Adriana Population in the municipality of Lo Espejo, Santiago, Chile. The school uses tennis as a tool for community intervention. The purpose of this research is to apply social marketing techniques to the institution, thus, seeks to support a community initiative, which means through the courts, improve the quality of life of children in a slum, who live in an environment of poverty, social exclusion and lack of opportunities.
To describe the work of FPT, it was necessary to conduct research based on qualitative and quantitative methods, which helped us to know the communication problem that affected the tennis school and propose possible solutions. This paper addresses a community intervention project, which was applied to a study based on local development, and business tools of social marketing.
