As primeiras dizem respeito à implementação do modelo TD/ABC e o cálculo do WACC.

This study aims to develop and test a tool for EVA® evaluate the financial performance of a small Portuguese broker business. Literature review points to the potentialities of EVA® ® for measuring the financial performance. The application of the tool to our case study involved several steps. According to the data available, the first steps included the implementation the TD/ABC and the estimatation of the WACC. The results achieved after calculation of EVA® ® indicate that the contribution of customers to value creation is differentiated. Some customers create value for the company while other destroy it. Other customers presented a positive accounting performance but according to the a value analysis those customers destroyed value for the company. There are customers with poor financial performance which in a value analysis becomes worse. Our example can be used as skeleton for application of EVA® ® to other small firms in this and other sectors. However, this report clearly states that the method should be properly adjusted to the information available inside firms.
