Distance education requires a new educational approach of everyone involved, aiming
to transform, change and renew all relations between the actors engaged in the teachinglearning process. In this context, my project aims to analyze and reflect on the educational
project that offers high school with Technology Intermediation (EMITEC). This is a case
study that sought to discuss the inclusion of people excluded from an increasingly competing
and unequal society. The research aimed to analyze how has been the high school experience
away and how this experience has reframed the lives of students in the project, and specific
goals such as to understand the relationship of students with this type of education
(difficulties, facilities, affinities, etc.), to identify some of the course drop-out motives and
discover the continuity of studies of some former students through higher or technical
education. At the end of this study, it was noticed a certain difficulty for the students to accept
the absence of teachers in the classroom, their awareness of the need to finish high school to
grow professionally and improve their lives and the importance of DL to take the opportunity
to study for those who live too far and that, otherwise, could not study.
