Iscte has 8 research units that develop outstanding research in the Institute's three main areas of specialty – Management and Economics; Social Sciences and Public Policy; Technologies and Architecture. These research units are periodically evaluated by external, international committees formed by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), and most units receive top ratings.
