The Soft Skills Lab (LCT) has as a mission the transmission of generic skills that, combined with the specific knowledge of the scientific areas, reinforce the ability to access and adapt to changes in work and responsible citizenship. 

The current society is competitive and constantly changing. Today there are few who can hope to practice the same profession all their lives. The most certain thing is that each person, throughout life, will have to deal with very different work challenges. 

The answer to this requirement of permanent adaptation to new situations is strongly supported both in the personal capacities of information analysis, problem solving and application of knowledge, as well as in the socio-emotional and behavioral skills of time management, organization and planning, ability to communication, leadership, autonomous and team work, among others. These are the skills that the Soft Skills Lab (LCT) helps to create and develop with Iscte students. 

Employers value these skills, complementary to basic scientific training, as they are recognized as essential for a good professional performance.
