The principal objective of this Master's is to study the banking system and the financial markets. Every day, markets and financial institutions receive streams of macroeconomic, sectoral, and business-to-business information. This Master's seeks to analyze the way in which this information is processed by professionals in the area and the results it produces in terms of the equilibrium in various markets. The bond market, the equity market and the foreign exchange market are studied in detail, and there is a class exclusively dedicated to the derivatives market.

This course gives special importance to monetary policy and its transmission by way of the banking system due to the determining role it has on the evolution of th economy in general, and on the financial markets in particular. Likewise, other subjects of study include the impact of the spread of new macroeconomic information and the publication of studies about various sectors of economic activity (energy, mining, the automobile industry, construction and real estate, telecommunications, tourism and the hotel business, and health, among other sectors).
