Digital Transition in Mobility

LO1. Define the fundamental concepts of Smart Cities and Urban Mobility.
LO2. Explain the principles of data-based decision-making, including the importance of collecting, processing, analysing and interpreting infrastructure and mobility data.
LO3. Describe and demonstrate good practice in data collection, storage and protection.
LO4. Analyse real-time and historical data using appropriate methods, visualisation techniques, modelling and performance indicators.
LO5. Apply techniques to optimise networks and routes, manage and control traffic, manage parking systems.
LO6. Develop solutions to urban mobility challenges, including transport sharing strategies and road safety measures.
LO7. Compare and differentiate different approaches and technologies used in Smart Cities.
LO8. Critique and synthesise the knowledge acquired to formulate effective action plans for urban mobility projects.

LO1. Understand the main policies and regulations underlying sustainable mobility, enabling trainees to systematically comprehend and evaluate these policies.
LO2. Recognize the importance of reducing various types of emissions associated with the transport sector within the national and European political, strategic, and regulatory frameworks.
LO3. Familiarize participants with the concepts of digitalization and decarbonization of mobility, aiming for a better understanding of the Carbon market.
LO4. Establish a new hierarchy of transport modes that promotes sustainable mobility, allowing trainees to integrate new concepts, policies, and strategies regulating the mobility sector.
LO5. Empower participants to develop processes for integrating stakeholders in the development of sustainable mobility solutions.

Transitions and Strategies for Sustainable Mobility

LO1. Understand the extent of the current challenges of decarbonization and sustainable development in transportation in light of the historical evolution of transport.
LO2. Familiarize participants with the socio-technical concepts and theories of transitions, allowing for a greater understanding of the factors and processes of change in mobility.
LO3. Recognize the different mobility alternatives, namely the difference between individual transport and collective, shared, and active transport, and the role of individual preferences in environmental and socioeconomic implications.
LO4. Learn about policies and measures to promote sustainability in transport, enabling trainees to systematically understand and evaluate these policies.
LO5. Empower trainees to assess the impact of different sustainable mobility strategies, particularly in terms of logical-interpretive reasoning and simulation techniques based on energy balances.
