Summary
Family quality of life (FQoL) can include access to information and services, child functioning, overall life satisfaction, and family relationships. According to McWilliam’s engagement theory, the extent to which individuals and the family are “engaged” might be key determinants in FQoL. This presentation will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss (a) what engagement means for different members of the family, (b) whether engagement or FQoL is the outcome we’re seeking, and (c) how engagement and FQoL are related to the meaningfulness or fulfilment of our lives.
