Aristides Ferreira, a researcher at BRU-IUL and chairman of the organizing committee of ECPA14, presents two of the world's leading experts on psychological evaluation development attending the prestigious European Conference on Psychological Assessment.
The conference will take place from July 5 to 8, at ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon. Topics such as diagnostic processes, personality assessment, intelligence and behaviour, observational and neuropsychological evaluation, applied to clinical research and health, education, work or evaluation will be discussed. Aristides Ferreira, a specialist with works published in the area, presents two prominent names that will be in Lisbon along with Laurence Claes, Ralf Schwarzer, Roger Azevedo and Wendy Johnson to discuss these issues.
According to the organizer of the event, David Stillwell, a social networking expert, 'has developed works that enable identifying personality aspects and personal characteristics by analysing user interactions in particular with Facebook. He has developed algorithms that allow inferring personal characteristics through the simple analysis of the number of likes and type of comments made on Facebook. This approach has implications in various spheres of the economy and society, most especially political campaigns, notably the recent cases of the election of Theresa May in the United Kingdom and Donald Trump in the USA.
The organizer refers to Paul R. Sackett as ‘one of the most recognized and respected scholars in the world, standing out in the fields of psychological assessment in contexts as diverse as the psychology of organizations, military or educational spheres. He is a board member of some of the most important scientific journals in the area and among those responsible for various scientific societies.’
