ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa has once again secured good results in this year´s U-Multirank, achieving the highest scores (“good” and “very good”) in 12 performance indicators. This ranking is sponsored by the European Union and currently includes 1,600 universities from 95 countries around the world.

In addition to the institutional ranking, the U-Multirank also makes a separate analysis by scientific area. ISCTE-IUL has obtained positive results in all the areas selected this year by the U-Multirank that have a stronger focus on political science, psychology, social work and sociology.

ISCTE-IUL had the highest scores in the Research and Internationalisation categories. It was ranked “very good” in the international joint publications indicator in the areas of Psychology and Political Science and rated “good” in the Sociology area. This demonstrates our growing collaboration with international researchers.

ISCTE-IUL also achieved the highest score in the external research income indicator, primarily in the areas of Political Science, Psychology and Sociology. This demonstrates our increasing success attracting more national and international investment as well as a strong commitment to develop scientific research and transfer knowledge to society.
