It is open Igeo - Creative Minds, a contest that rewards creativity in national use of geographical information through mobile applications or websites with mobile version, sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy (MAOTE) by the General Directorate Territory, and is sponsored the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD).

The winning application will receive a prize in the amount of $ 4,000 and the second and third place will receive prizes worth $ 2,500 and $ 1,000, respectively, which awards are sponsored by FLAD.

The Igeo - Creative Minds aims to promote the use and geographic information available on mobile applications, rewarding the best proposals in terms of innovation, functionality, design, usability and performance as well as the promotion of the various themes and georeferenced available in Igeo portal.

It is designed for  collective or individuals over 18 years and resident in Portugal.

The Igeo (http://www.igeo.pt) is an initiative of MAOTE you want to put the geographical reference data of public administration at the service of society and thus promote the creation of new products with high added value services supported by knowledge-intensive models. The data to be made available under this initiative will have primarily addressed the public administration, educational and research institutions, the NGOs and also private companies.
