BIP Outgoing

Whenever Blended Intensive Programme opportunities arise, the International Relations Office will publicise them. Iscte students interested in taking part can then apply on Fenix+.

For the physical mobility component (usually 5 days duration + 2 days for travel), BIP participants benefit from an Erasmus+ grant for individual support of 70€/day (from the 1st to the 14th day) and 50€/day (from the 15th to the 30th day) - only applicable for the physical mobility period.

** Participants with fewer opportunities receive a supplement of €100 (from the 1st to the 14th day) and €150 (from the 15th to the 30th day).

** In the case of ecological travel, participants receive a one-off contribution of €50 as a supplement to individual support.

The grant will be awarded by the International Relations Office, subject to approval of the Erasmus Contract between the parties.

2025, 21 - 25 March | France, Université Gustave Eiffel - European Hackaton


For the fourth time, the Université Gustave Eiffel, France, will organise a EUROPEAN HACKATHON. It will be organised again in the form of a blended intensive programme (BIP) in the framework of ERASMUS + programme.

The event will take place from Friday 21 March to Tuesday 25 March 2025 at the Université Gustave Eiffel on our location at the heart of Paris.

The theme of this fourth edition is "Towards sustainable logistics and goods transportation".

Objetives

This BIP is concerned with the rich architectural heritage of housing projects in Berlin formed by Gründerzeit, Modern Movement, post-WWII reconstruction, International Building Exhibitions (1957/1984), post-Wall regeneration and contemporary innovation and experimentation. Participants will act as urban investigators detecting best-practice housing projects and breaking down the respective information. They will form project-teams in order to elaborate qualified descriptions of housing typologies and urban-development concepts as well as future strategies for new housing models.

Objetives

"Redesigning Rural Architectural Commons with Local Communities" brings together transdisciplinary teams of architecture, landscape architecture, conservation, and sociology students to collaborate directly with rural communities. The goal is to co-create sustainable, ecologically responsible designs for rural architectural commons—such as schools, churches, community centres and public spaces—tailored to local needs and environmental priorities. Using participatory design methods that incorporate local knowledge and firsthand experiences, BIP reimagines rural spaces to support both community well-being and environmental sustainability. The program also emphasizes the valuable connections between rural and urban areas, exploring through lectures and field trips how revitalizing rural regions can strengthen urban sustainability through resilient ecosystems, resource management, and cultural exchange.

Objetives

Sustainable buildings is a topic that the whole world is currently focusing on. It’s about building in an eco-friendly, environmentally friendly, but also user-friendly way. The concept of sustainable buildings encompasses a range of activities, processes, and building practices that support the environment economically, socially, and environmentally. The construction industry is key in improving the quality of life, as it is estimated to account for about 40% of energy consumption, 30% of carbon dioxide emissions, and 40% of solid waste production. The classes involve exchanging experiences, practical workshops, and presenting the achievements in this field.
