Objectives
LO1) Identify and apply participatory transdisciplinary methodologies for the intervention in real scenarios;
LO2) Understand the 5 concepts through critical reflection on paradigmatic examples and international good practices;
LO3) Conceptualize solutions starting from the social to physica through collaborative tools and processes, and then seize the urban public space as a technological experience that promotes identity and social diversity;
LO4) Value strategies based in practices DIY Urbanism, digital collective mapping, open-society, toolkits to co-creation processes, to promote social, economic and cultural in the public space design.
LO5) Test and evaluate the practical application of strategies of involvement of local residents in creative decisions about the program, the co-design and construction of shared spaces in the city;
LO6) Present and discuss work developed in the course;
LO7) Express and explain the design decisions taken at each stage of practical work.
Program
The programme consists of online and in-person sessions.
S1) Introductory lectures on key concepts.
S2) Field visits and work.
S3) 3 Masterclasses: Spirit of Place, Participatory Ground, and Spaces in Motion.
S4) Critical analyses.
S5) Intervention Laboratory - a privileged space for synthesis for the development of an applied research practice of multidisciplinary methods and instruments associated with the 5 key topics. It involves the development of practical project solutions in a real scenario.
S6) Public presentation and exhibition.
Evaluation process
PA1) Students will be evaluated continuously through: Evaluation of the quality of the partial analysis and synthesis, as well as the final proposal - 80%; Assiduity and participation in discussions - 20%;
PA2) There is no prevision for this Unit of a final exame.
