António Lopes, Licentiate in Computer Science and Business Management (2002, ISCTE), MSc in Telecommunications and Computer Engineering (2006, ISCTE), PhD in Information Science and Technology - Artificial Intelligence Branch (2011, ISCTE-IUL), is currently the Director of the Information Systems Development Services at ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon. He's taught programming and information systems-related classes at the Department of Information Science and Technology at ISCTE on and off since 2001 and more regularly since 2008 up to 2013. His research activities began in 2000 at ADETTI's intelligent systems lab where he participated in several national and international projects until 2008. Currently, he is a researcher at IT-IUL (ISCTE-IUL's branch of Instituto de Telecomunicações research lab) since January 2009, where he focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence in other areas of research.
