Requirements
The following are eligible to apply for the PhD in African Studies:
- Holders of a master's degree or legal equivalent;
- Holders of a bachelor's degree with a particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum recognized as attesting to their ability to complete the doctorate;
- Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized as attesting to their ability to complete a doctorate.

Candidates who are required to obtain a visa are advised to formalize their application in the early stages.

Application procedures
In addition to the requirements indicated in the previous point, the application process includes the submission of the following documents:
- Curriculum Vitae;
- Certificate(s) of Qualifications (with proof of degree obtained and transcript of grades with all curricular units and classifications).
