Requirements
To apply for the PhD Program applicants should:
a) hold a Master's degree in Psychology or legal equivalent or holders of a Master's degree in other Sciences, recognized by the PhD Scientific Committee as attesting the capacity to complete a doctoral degree; or
b) hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, or a Bachelor's degree in other Sciences in combination with a relevant academic or scientific curriculum that is recognized by the PhD Scientific Committee as attesting the capacity to complete a doctoral degree; or
c) demonstrate an academic, scientific, or professional curriculum that is recognized by the PhD Scientific Committee as attesting the capacity to complete a doctoral degree.
Candidates must submit a Motivation Letter stating the topic they wish to develop and its alignment with the Research Unit, CIS-Iscte.

Iscte Internal Scholarships
Iscte's Merit-Based Scholarships for PhD Students
National and international students enrolled and registered full-time, and for the first time, in the PhD Program in Psychology at Iscte can apply for this type of scholarship.
Merit-Based scholarships aim to distinguish the achievement of academic excellence, as well as professional skills relevant to the PhD course.
These scholarships are 48 months long and intended to support the research work leading to a doctorate degree, thus allowing for developing PhD students’ scientific and academic skills.
The School of Social Sciences and Humanities (ECSH) and the Centre for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS-Iscte) open a call for one (1) Merit Scholarship for students enrolled for the first time in the 1st year of the Iscte Doctoral Program in Psychology for the academic year 2024/2025.

Scholarships for the Development of Pedagogical and Scientific Competences for 3rd Cycle Iscte Students
Candidates admitted to the PhD Programme in Psychology at Iscte and enrolled full-time can apply for this type of scholarship. The Call for applications will be advertised on the website of Iscte.
The aim of this type of scholarship is the progressive development of students' skills in scientific, pedagogical, and technical activities that are relevant for the student's training. The number of scholarships to be awarded is established by the Conselho de Gestão of Iscte.
