Conceived in accordance with the model of Bologna, the Master's Degree in Modern and Contemporary History is the 2nd cycle course that continues the undergraduate programme in Modern and Contemporary History, and it provides the development and deepening of studies in three areas of expertise: Cities and Heritage; Politics, Culture and Citizenship and International Relations.
The course's target audience consists of students who completed the first cycle in History, or in other areas of social and human sciences, and who are especially interested in carrying out extensive studies in this Master's three areas of specialisation.
This master's course has the length of 2 years and corresponds to 120 credit units (ECTS). Students who obtain the 60 credit units corresponding to the course's 1st year (curricular part) attain a diploma of Post-graduation in Modern and Contemporary History, area of specialisation of Cities and Heritage, Politics, Culture and Citizenship of International Relations. The course is concluded by means of the presentation and defence of a dissertation
This course's predominant scientific field is History, complemented by other scientific fields, such as International Relations, Architecture, Political Science, among others.
