The highest demand record was hit by the Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies, with 508 article submissions. In this 12th edition to be held in Lisbon, at ISCTE-IUL, from June 21st to 24th, the presence of the major specialists in the area of information systems is expected.

The response to this call was made by researchers, not only Portuguese but also Brazilian, Ecuadorian, Colombian, Spanish and Mexicans, among others. The local organizer, Bráulio Alturas, a professor at ISCTE-IUL and a researcher at ISTAR-IUL, actually mentions the diversity of provenance and interest in participating in this initiative as the most significant ever.

At this conference, besides the central programme, which will count with the participation of speakers of recognized international merit, there will be space for a doctoral symposium and thematic workshops, still with the call open to submissions.

This increasing demand may be due to the fact that each participant, with an accepted communication, is assured the indexation of the submitted article in various reference databases, as well as the opportunity of the best ones being published in 4 journals of the specialty.

Highly distinguished keynote speakers will be at the conference, such as Miklos A. Vasarhelyi, creator of the original application in 'continuous auditing' and considered the specialist in this area, and Sunder Gee, author of the book 'Fraud and Fraud Detection: A Data Analytics Approach'.
