In the context of the research project "Fatima, one century after the apparitions: pilgrimage, gender and lived religion", the summer school "Religion in the Public Domain" analyses the role of religion in the public domain in contemporary societies through the discussion of a research ethnographic study and a visit to Fatima during the annual celebrations. This summer school is intended for students of the 3 cycles of higher education.
In the year of the centenary of the apparitions of Fatima, researcher Anna Fedele of CRIA-IUL organizes the 5th edition of this summer school, held at ISCTE-IUL from July 11 to 15, in partnership with the University of Groningen.
This initiative has a renowned panel of experts, including Ruy Blanes (ICS-UL and LSE), José Mapril (CRIA-FCSH / UNL), Kim Knibbe (University of Groningen), Erin Wilson, William A. Christian Jr. (Autonomous University of Barcelona) and Clara Saraiva (CRIA-FCSH / UNL).
Registration is open to all students in higher education up to 30 June 2017.
