In the academic year 2020-2021, Iscte will be the first Portuguese university to include a Master’s in Political Economy in its course catalog. This Master’s utilizes elements from different disciplines such as Economics, Political Science, International Relations and Sociology in order to analyze contemporary economic topics of social relevance, including social and economic inequalities, climate change and the centrality of the financial sector within capitalism, to give a few examples.

With this new investment, Iscte demonstrates its capacities of innovation and adaption to the issues of today, presenting an interdisciplinary Master’s that links politics to economics, in tune with the global advance of study and research in this area.

Applications are open currently, with the first phase ending on February 24. This Master’s is taught fully in English.
