A consciencialização da crise que a arquitetura atravessa descodificou a nossa herança: uma substância pós-moderna contraproducente. Aquilo que hoje acontece é a exponenciação dos efeitos do pós-modernismo, a uma escala global e acelerada. O momento em que tudo pode ser crítico coincide com o momento em que ser crítico perde uma função reguladora e o pensamento intelectual do sujeito é deambulatório. Problemas e Perspetivas: um investimento na reflexão crítica da arquitetura procura dar respostas ao sujeito contemporâneo e arquitetónico, sobre como enfrentar e legitimar o trabalho de projeto de arquitetura, no quadro das incertezas contemporâneas e da grande pluralidade de posições e interpretações a que está passível. A arquitetura contemporânea ambiciona encontrar um argumento de verdade, apesar do seu estado de vulnerabilidade. Através de um processo de construção de preconceitos, assumidamente intrasubjetivos, é possível gerar uma estrutura de conhecimentos e chegar a uma solução arquitetónica. É no diálogo projetual e no processo de negociação entre pergunta e resposta, que o arquiteto, sujeito contemporâneo, constrói uma narrativa que legitime o seu projeto.

The awareness of the crisis that architecture is going through has decoded our heritage: a counterproductive postmodern substance. What happens today is due to the exponentiation effects of postmodernism, on a global and accelerated scale. The moment when everything can be critical, overlaps with the moment when being critical loses it is regulatory function and the subject’s intellectual thought is ambulatory. Problems and Perspectives: an investment in the critical reflection of architecture seeks to provide answers to the contemporary and architectural subject about facing and legitimizing the work of architectural project, within the framework of contemporary uncertainties and the great plurality of positions and interpretations to which it is subjected. Contemporary architecture aims to find an argument of truth, despite its vulnerable state. Through a process of constructing prejudices, admittedly intrasubjective, it is possible to generate a structure of knowledge and achieve an architectural solution. It is within the project dialogue and the negotiation process between asking and answering, that the architect, contemporary subject, is capable of building a narrative that legitimizes his project.
