O trabalho a apresentar consiste na elaboração de um projeto de arquitetura, começando na escala de implantação (1:1000) até à escala de pormenorização (1:5) organizado num pacote de peças desenhadas, permitindo assim uma aproximação ao trabalho real de um atelier de arquitetura, em trabalho de execução. O projeto em questão é baseado no concurso da Nova Sede da AMI e Infantário, decorrido em 2007 no território de Carcavelos. Neste trabalho o concurso irá ser reinterpretado no território de Alcântara, junto ao hospital da CUF Tejo. A analise histórica e sensorial do território permitiu caracterizar a zona e formular os princípios para a intervenção arquitetónica, seguida de um trabalho de organização programática baseada numa conjugação entre o programa de concurso e os desejos que o autor quis impor para o trabalho de arquitetura, sempre acompanhado com as respetivas referências. O trabalho de caracterização arquitetónica foi o resultado de inúmeras tentativas em desenho, modelação 3d e consulta de trabalhos de arquitetura, sempre com o objetivo de conseguir uma obra de arquitetura coesa com os princípios delineados apos a analise à história do local. Estes princípios foram a base para basicamente todas as decisões de projeto, desde a definição da organização espacial, até à opção do puxados da porta. Finalmente, pode-se afirmar que este trabalho levou a uma maior compreensão do trabalho de arquitetura na fase de execução, e que todas as decisões de projeto devem ser baseadas em princípios claros e simples.

The following work consists in the elaboration of an architectural project, starting at the implantation scale (1:1000) all the way trough the construction detail scale (1:5) organized in a drawing pack, therefore allowing a simulation of the day to day work in an architecture office. The project at hand is based in the public competition of the new AMI Headquarters and Daycare, occurred in 2007 in Carcavelos. In this work the project will be reinterpreted in the territory of Alcântara, in a site by the new hospital CUF Tejo. The history and sensorial analysis allowed to label the area and to formulate the principles for the architectonic intervention, followed by a work of programmatic organisation based in a mix between the program of the competition and the desires that the author wanted to impose to the architectural work, always accompanied by the references that inspired the work. The architectural characterization work was the result of many attempts in either drawing, 3d modelling and query of other works of architecture, always with the goal of achieving a wellbalanced work of architecture, aligned with the principles established after the site analysis. These principles were the basis for every project decision, from the definition of the special organization to the choice of the door handle. Finally, it can be concluded that this work lead to a wider understanding of the day to day work in the discipline of architecture in the execution phase, and that all project decisions must be based on clear and simple principles.
