O Projeto Final de Arquitetura (PFA) “(Re)imaginar a Via Estruturante através da Participação Comunitária na Regeneração Urbana”, realizado no âmbito do LabTUR 2.0 - Laboratório de Ensaio de Metodologias de Intervenção na Cidade Existente, tem como objetivo a regeneração urbana do território das Galinheiras e Ameixoeira. Esta zona periférica de Lisboa, marcada por desafios sociais como urbanísticos, foi estudada em estreita colaboração com a população local, visando a criação de soluções que valorizem a utilização no dia-a-dia o espaço público. A proposta de intervenção centra-se numa solução alternativa à Via Estruturante de Santa Clara que atende às necessidades urbanas e sociais da comunidade, visando melhorar a qualidade de vida e a integração urbana da região. As transformações previstas para as infraestruturas e a mobilidade associadas à Via Estruturante impõem a necessidade de repensar o papel da Avenida Glicínia Quartin no desenvolvimento de uma coesão social mais forte e na mitigação da fragmentação urbana. Através de uma abordagem qualitativa e participativa, os moradores da área foram envolvidos no desenho de uma solução que incorpora os princípios da Cidade Aberta, contemplando as especificidades do território e introduzindo condições de acessibilidade para todos. Este projeto ambiciona, assim, contribuir para a construção de um espaço público inclusivo e funcional, que reforce o sentimento de comunidade e responda aos desafios sociais e espaciais da área.

The Final Architecture Project ‘(Re)imagining the Via Estruturante through Community Participation in Urban Regeneration’, carried out as part of LabTUR 2.0 - Laboratory for Testing Intervention Methodologies in the Existing City, aims to regenerate the urban area of Galinheiras and Ameixoeira. This peripheral area of Lisbon, marked by both social and urban challenges, was studied in close collaboration with the local population, with the aim of creating solutions that enhance the day-to-day use of public space. The intervention proposal centres on an alternative solution to the Via Estruturante de Santa Clara that meets the urban and social needs of the community, with the aim of improving the quality of life and urban integration of the region. The planned transformations to the infrastructure and mobility associated with the Via Estruturante impose the need to rethink the role of Avenida Glicínia Quartin in developing stronger social cohesion and mitigating urban fragmentation. Through a qualitative and participatory approach, residents of the area were involved in designing a solution that incorporates the principles of the Open City, considering the specificities of the territory and introducing accessibility conditions for all. This project thus aims to contribute to the construction of an inclusive and functional public space that reinforces the sense of community and responds to the social and spatial challenges of the area.
