A qualidade da educação está intimamente ligada à existência, eficácia e eficiência de políticas educativas. Este trabalho é sobre as políticas educativas de apoio à família no contexto rural angolano. Avalia a existência ou não, a eficácia ou não destas políticas, no contexto em referência, tendo como pano de fundo a importância das dinâmicas de envolvimento parental nos processos de educação dos seus filhos e da família, enquanto base sobre a qual está estruturada a sociedade Angola. A realidade concreta estudada é da escola de Mambandi, uma das muitas escolas rurais angolanas. Tendo-se observado uma relação e comunicação escola-família quase nulos, este trabalho com o projeto Umbo Lyange Sikola Yange, lança as bases para uma intervenção, na escola e no kimbo, destinada a alicerçar a qualidade da escola de Mambandi, enquanto organização educativa e contribuir, desta feita, para o estudo das políticas educativas de apoio à família em Angola. Trata-se de pensar a escola para necessidades concretas, de modo a proporcionar um desenvolvimento harmonioso e sustentável da sociedade angolana, em geral, e de Mambandi, em particular, a partir de um modelo de escola que facilita quer o sucesso educativo dos filhos quer a formação e cooperação dos pais na educação dos seus próprios filhos.

The quality of education is closely linked to the existence, effectiveness and efficiency of educational policies. This work is about education policies to support families in the Angolan rural context. It evaluates the existence or not, the effectiveness or not of these policies in the context of reference. The study has as its backdrop the importance of parental involvement dynamics in the education process of their children and the family as the basis on which is structured the Angolan society. The concrete reality studied in this work is the school of Mambandi, one of many Angolan rural schools. Having observed in there an almost zero relationship and communication school-family, with the project Umbo Lyange Sikola Yange this study lays the foundations for an intervention at school and kimbo, designed to underpin the quality of Mambandi school, as an educational organization and contribute, this time to the study of educational family support policies in Angola. It is thought the school for specific needs, to provide a harmonious and sustainable development of the Angolan society in general and Mambandi in particular from a school model that facilitates both the educational success of children and the training and cooperation of parents in the education of their own.
