Seeking to reflect on issues relating to the condition of being human, anthropology offered me the type of critical and original thinking I was looking for, and the course allowed me to question, to frame and to address the diversity of human experiences.

I wanted to study anthropology to expand my knowledge of other cultures. The Msc in Anthropology at Iscte, challenged me to question more deeply my understanding of the world, opened the doors to a new non-reductionist practical and philosophical universe, to rethink with greater comprehensiveness what it means to 'be' in relation to other human and non-human beings in a era which this is increasingly urgent. Anthropology at Iscte was an inspiring and decisively important step in my professional life.

Anthropology opens the doors to a better understanding of human diversity and of the world around us. Based on its multifaceted and versatile nature, we can focus on different areas of knowledge, thus helping us to develop our critical spirit.
