"The Learning Objectives and their compatibility with teaching methods are:
LO1: Understand how tools and methodologies based on BIM and related technologies can optimize construction management, increasing efficiency, safety, and sustainability. This objective is developed through asynchronous classes, case studies, and interactive materials.
LO2: Evaluate the impact of modular construction and prefabrication on construction management, identifying advantages, challenges, and digital requirements for its implementation. To this end, students analyze case studies and participate in sessions with experts.
LO3: Develop practical skills in the design, preparation, and implementation of innovative methodologies in the activity of construction companies. Project-Based Learning (PBL) and interaction with experts ensure the application and validation of acquired knowledge.

"The assessment of this curricular unit follows the semester-long modality and is based on the completion of an implementation project, carried out in groups, which allows students to apply the knowledge acquired in the digital management of construction and in the adoption of innovative methodologies, such as modular construction and prefabrication. Given its practical nature, the UC does not have a Final Exam.
1. Implementation Project (100%, in groups)
Students develop a group project that consists of defining and applying a strategy for a specific and well-defined problem. The project must include:
• Analysis of a scenario, preferably real, identifying challenges in a task, analysis of possible solutions and selection of one of them.
• Definition of an implementation plan, including technical, economic and cultural analysis.
• Testing of real implementation or through interviews and simulations.
• Preparation of a technical report, detailing the processes, information flows and decision-making, measured or expected impact and difficulties.
• Final presentation, in a synchronous session, where the applicability and learning outcomes are openly discussed.
2. Evaluation Criteria
The project will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
• Critical analysis and justification (30%) – Clarity in identifying problems and depth of analysis of digital solutions.
• Relevance and innovation of the proposal (30%) – Effective application of the methodologies and technologies explored.
• Quality of the technical report (20%) – Structure, coherence, and depth of the analysis.
• Practical demonstration and presentation (20%) – Clarity in the analysis and presentation of results and conclusions.
3. Feedback and Progression
Throughout the semester, students will have follow-up sessions and continuous feedback from instructors, ensuring the necessary guidance for the development of the project and allowing for adjustments.
Final presentations are commented on by professionals invited to the discussions."
