Ethics Council

Iscte is committed to the highest standards of integrity in research having an Ethics Council (EC) since 2011.

The EC is an advisory body composed of three expert independent members on ethical issues in the areas of education, scientific research, community services and institutional operation. The EC is responsible for applying the general principles and practical guidelines described in the Code of Ethical Conduct in Research Iscte (English Version.) dated 2016. To obtain ethical support the researchers must request the Rector for a deliberation from the EC and attach the full case file.
