In February and March, Iscte  University Institute of Lisbon will be organising a series of workshops – “Slow Stages” –, with the aim of promoting emotional management and self-knowledge through dramatic expression, by exploring different areas, such as problem-solving, concentration and memory, study methods and others.

These workshops will be led by Ema Oliveira and are aimed at all members of the Iscte community. Participants will have the opportunity to create a space for relaxation and creativity with exercises in individual connection, improvisation and reflection.

We invite the whole community to take part in this initiative! is free and must be done here.

  • Workshop 1 - Decelerate - The importance of Emptiness in our lives
    Iscte Gym | Wednesday, 11 February 2025, 4.30 PM to 6 PM

Reflect on the importance of slowing down our daily pace; address the importance of empty time in our lives; exercises in inner connection, slowing down and problem solving.

  • Workshop 2 - Connection - Concentrate, Breathe, Motivate
    Iscte Gym | Wednesday, 25 February 2025, 4.30 PM to 6 PM

The importance of focusing on one thing at a time in order to achieve effective concentration; addressing the importance and functioning of memory, opening up possibilities for new forms of knowledge and study methods.

  • Workshop 3 - Spontaneity - The art of not controlling everything
    Iscte Gym | Wednesday, 11 March 2025, 4.30 PM to 6 PM

Our lives are often constantly organized into schedules and obligations that give us little room for spontaneity and “getting out of line”. Knowing how to deal with unpredictability and how to make the best use of it.

This is an initiative organised by the IN-Iscte project, a Space to Grow.
