A presente investigação analisa e procura compreender a intervenção do assistente social junto da pessoa sem-abrigo. Ao longo da pesquisa identificamos e interpretamos as estratégias de intervenção no contexto político-institucional do assistente social e da pessoa sem-abrigo, na promoção de inovação da prática profissional no problema em análise. Como metodologia, utilizámos, a estratégia qualitativa que nos permitiu a exploração e descrição de uma determinada realidade através do método indutivo, com a aplicação da entrevista sem-directiva e da análise de conteúdo. A pesquisa empírica incidiu sobre uma amostra constituída por 10 pessoas sem-abrigo e 10 assistentes sociais que intervêm com este problema na cidade de Lisboa. Pelos dados da investigação, concluímos que o Estado tem um papel distante bem como a ausência de políticas sociais. A intervenção está direcionada para a satisfação das necessidades básicas com incidência em respostas de emergencia. Há necessidade em investir em respostas de alojamento, em estruturas ocupacionais e respostas na área da saúde mental. De acordo com o testemunho dos assistentes sociais entrevistados, é necessário articular mais e criar sinergias com as autarticas, entidade próxima das comunidades. É mencionada a importância em se criar uma plataforma digital onde seja registado o percurso institucional de cada pessoa sem-abrigo com vista aos profissionais obterem uma visão mais holistica da pessoa, mas também dos recursos obtidos pela mesma, e a criação de uma metodologia de intervenção comum.

The present research analyzes and seeks to understand the intervention of the social worker with the homeless person. Throughout this study we identify and interpret intervention strategies in the political-institutional context of the social worker and the homeless person, the promotion of innovation in professional practice in problem analysis. The methodology we used, the qualitative strategy that allowed us to exploration and description of a given reality through the inductive method, with the application of the no-directive interview and content analysis. The empirical research focused on a sample of 10 homeless and 10 social workers involved with this problem in the city of Lisbon. The research data, we conclude that the State has a distance role and an absence of social policies. The intervention is directed towards the satisfaction of basic needs with a focus on emergency responses. There is need to invest in accommodation responses in occupational structures and responses in the area of mental health According to the testimony of the social workers, it is necessary to articulate more and create synergies with autarticas. It´s mentioned the importance of creating a digital platform where is registered the institutional path of each homeless person in order to obtain a more professional holistic view of the person, but also of the resources obtained by the same, and the creation of an intervention methodology common.
