Ao longo desta dissertação procurámos ilustrar, a experiência de asilo e de migração de uma família Tamil em Lisboa. Tentámos, ao mesmo tempo, expor etnograficamente o relacionamento deste casal com outros indivíduos da mesma origem geográfica. Pudemos então constatar a existência de um grupo pequeno (em termos numéricos) e recente, onde se constituíam redes solidárias importantes: é através delas que mais facilmente se encontra casa e/ou trabalho, para além da possibilidade de falar a mesma língua e forjar um ambiente mais familiar, alargando desse modo os contactos dentro da rede. Esta dissertação é, também, um exercício de compreensão sobre os processos de (re)construção das sociabilidades em contexto de mobilidade. Desta forma, centrando-nos num tipo de migração muito especial - a dos requerentes de asilo, avaliamos essa experiência não descurando, no entanto, a existência de uma relação dialéctica entre requerentes de asilo e outros migrantes.

Throughout this dissertation we sought to illustrate the experience of asylum and migration of a Tamil family in Lisbon. We tried at the same time to expose ethnographically, the relationship of this couple with other individuals arising from the same geographical origin. We might establish then the existence of a small group (in numerical terms), newly formed, where important solidarity networks were constituted. Beyond the possibility of speaking the same language and forging a more familiar environment, thus widening contacts within the network, it is through these networks that house and /or work is more easily found. This dissertation is also an exercise in the understanding / comprehension on the processes of (re)construction of sociability, in a context of mobility. Thus, focusing on a very special type of migration - the asylum seekers -, we evaluate this experience not neglecting, however, the existence of a dialectical relationship between asylum seekers and other migrants.
