The undergraduate course in Telecommunications and Computer Engineering was designed from scratch to provide a wide range of job opportunities, providing a skillset aimed at supplying the foreseeable needs of the national and European job market. In this context, we have seen a high demand for our students by the main companies in this sector (telecommunication operators, information technology companies, energy, etc.).
This integration into the workforce frequently starts with supervised internships, in collaboation with IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) or with participation in programs like ERASMUS, which has brought students to institutions like BT Exact (England), SIEMENS (Germany), and CERN (Switzerland).
Among the skills developed through LETI and METI, the following areas stand out:
- Production of audiovisual content (new technologies that utilize the combination of synthesis and natural images, computer animation, ...);
- Planning and management of telecommunications systems;
- Maintenance of intelligent networks and telecommunications systems;
- Real-time Internet publication
- Electronic commerce and banking;
- Electronic network security;
- Business management information systems;
- Research and development of new applications (mobile radio services, multimedia databases, virtual reality, entertainment and 3D images, ...);
- Development of intelligent systems for environmental applications.
