António Freitas Miguel is an Associate Professor of Finance with Habilitation at ISCTE Business School. He is the Director of the MsC in Finance. He has a PhD in Finance from ISCTE Business School, "Essays on International Investments", supervised by Miguel A. Ferreira, and a Postdoc in Finance from Cass Business School, London. He had visiting positions at The University of Miami Business School, Florida, and at The University of Sydney Business School. He has a large experience teaching Postgraduate, MBA and Executive programs, and he was awarded several times the best teacher prize for excellence in teaching. His research interests include mutual funds and international investments and he is a research member of the Business Research Unit - ISCTE-IUL Research Centre, since 2007, and of the Cass Business School Centre for Asset Management, since 2008. He gained a Post-Doctoral Scholarship (2008-2010), and a Sabbatical Grant (2014-2015), both from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. He also obtained research grants from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology for the project "Performance Persistence and The Smart Money Effect in Mutual Funds - International Evidence" (2010-2013, EUR 45,310), and for the project "Mutual fund management, national culture and markets integration" (2016-2018, EUR 67,500). His research has been published in top tier journals, including the Review of Finance and the Journal of Corporate Finance.

Full Professor of Finance at ISCTE/IUL. He was the Dean of ISCTE Business School and President of INDEG Executive Education. He has also been a non-executive director in several boards of large listed companies such as CTT and EDP. He has been a consultant in the areas of risk management, corporate governance and executive compensation. He is currently President of the Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance. He is a regular contributor to the media and he is author of several books in the area of finance.

José Paulo Esperança is the Dean of ISCTE Business School. He is full professor of Finance and a former Pro-Rector for International Relations and Entrepreneurship at ISCTE-IUL, Portugal. He is the Chairman of AUDAX-ISCTE (www.audax.iscte.pt), an associated center focused on entrepreneurship and family business. He also co-founded Building Global Innovators (BGI), a technology transfer accelerator in partnership with MIT Portugal. He got a PhD in economics from the European University Institute, Florence on "The Investment Decision by Service Multinationals" and has published in journals such as Applied Financial Economics, Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, Management Research, International Journal of Organizational Analysis, Corporate Governance and Management International Review. His research interests include entrepreneurship and small business financing, corporate governance and the impact of language commonality in international business. He is the Portuguese Delegate for the SME Instrument of the Horizon's 2020 Program of the European Commission and a member of the board of CPADA, the Portuguese Federation of Environmental Associations.

Luciana Barbosa joined ISCTE-IUL in 2021 as an Assistant Professor. She has published articles in top-ranked international journals, such as the European Journal of Operational Research, Energy Economics and Emerging Markets Review. She has teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level. Her current research interests include the following topics: real options, game theory, investment decisions, renewable energy and real estate. Luciana has more than 20 years of Financial Analysis experience in Brazil, USA, UK and Portugal. Education includes a Ph.D. degree with distinction within the MIT Portugal Program at Instituto Superior Técnico, a Master degree in Finance with distinction at Lancaster University Management School (UK), and a Master degree in Industrial Engineering with distinction at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

LUIS LAUREANO. Assistant Professor at ISCTE Business School and researcher in Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL). Degree in Management (ISCTE-IUL), master in Information Systems Management (ISCTE-IUL) and doctorate in Management- specialization in Finance (ISCTE-IUL). Has taught several finance courses in different undergraduate, post-graduate and masters. Is co-author of books on finance and co-author of papers published in national and international scientific journals.

Degree in Economics, Masters in Mathematical Economics (University of Paris) and Business Sciences (ISCTE), PhD in Management (ISCTE). Assistant Professor at ISCTE. Published theses and research papers in international scientific journals and others. Experience as consultant and project coordinator in Portugal and abroad.

João Sobral do Rosário is a Visiting Assistant Professor at ISCTE-IUL since 2014. He formerly held a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Arizona State University. He earned his PhD in Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His adviser was Rajnish Mehra and the title of his dissertation is "Essays on the Economics of Equity Trading". He has previously published in journals such Applied Financial Economics and International Journal of Theoretical and Applied Finance. He is a member of the Financial Management Association.

Experiência Profissional: Desde Outubro de 2002 desempenho funções de director responsável pela coordenação da área de Equity Research do Caixa - Banco de Investimento, coordenando todo o trabalho de acompanhamento das empresas cotadas na bolsa portuguesa e brasileira por parte da equipa de equity research desta instituição. Saliento ainda que entre Outubro de 2002 e Setembro de 2006 coordenei os trabalhos desenvolvidos no Caixa - Banco de Investimento pela equipa de Fixed-Income Research. Entre Julho de 2000 e Outubro de 2002 foi director da área de Equity Sales da MC Corretagem, Caixa Valores e posteriormente do Caixa - Banco de Investimento (por via de aquisição e posterior fusão entre estas instituições). Entre 1991 e 2000 integrei a Direcção de Assessoria Financeira da Siemca (Grupo Totta & Açores, posteriormente Santander Totta) sendo responsável por operações de Corporate Finance, tais como avaliações de empresas e projectos de investimento, assessoria em processos de aquisição e alienação, reestruturações financeiras, desenvolvimento de produtos financeiros estruturados e ainda por assessorar as empresas clientes em operações de Mercado de Capitais. Inicialmente com funções de analista e em 1997 assumi funções de direcção nesta área. Possuo elevada experiência no acompanhamento de operações de banca de investimento, nomeadamente operações de mercado de capitais participadas pelo Caixa - Banco de Investimento desde o ano de 2000, numa primeira fase na perspectiva de vendas e desde 2002 como responsável pela área de Equity Research, entre as quais destaco o IPO e privatização dos CTT, o IPO da EDP Renováveis, IPO e privatização da REN, IPO da Martifer, IPO e Privatização da Galp Energia, IPO do Grupo Media Capital, Privatização da Brisa, Privatização da EDP, IPO e Privatização da Gescartão e Privatização da PT. Desde Setembro de 1995 lecciono, como assistente convidado, várias disciplinas da área de Corporate Finance, Mercados Financeiros e Investimentos das licenciaturas de Gestão e Finanças bem como dos cursos de Pós-Graduação e Mestrado do Instituto Superior das Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa - Lisboa (ISCTE / Business School). Nos anos letivos mais recentes estive integrado nas equipas que leccionam as disciplinas de Finanças da Empresa e de Investimentos Financeiros, coordenadas respetivamente pelos Professores Luís Oliveira e João Pedro Nunes. Nos cursos de Mestrado / Mestrados Executivos / Pós-graduação da área de finanças sou responsável pela disciplina de Análise de Mercados Monetários e Cambiais. Formação Académica e Outras Actividades: Licenciatura em Gestão de Empresas pelo Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (Junho de 1991) com a classificação de Bom. Co-autor do livro Investimentos Financeiros, Teoria e Prática publicado pelas Edições Sílabo.

Rui Alpalhão nasceu em Lisboa em 1963. Licenciou-se em Economia pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa, escola onde concluiu um Mestrado em Gestão de Empresas e ensinou entre 1985 e 1999. É Doutor em Finanças pelo Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, escola onde é Professor Associado Convidado e ensina Finanças. Foi administrador de sociedades participadas (e controladas) pelo Banco Totta & Açores e pela Caixa Geral de Depósitos entre 1992 e 2002, ano em que montou o "management buy in" de uma gestora de fundos, cuja administração executiva assegurou entre 2003 e 2013. Fundou, em 2005, a FundBox Holdings, maior accionista de duas sociedades gestoras de fundos, e iniciou actividade no mercado de "distressed assets" em 2013, com a aquisição, em "joint venture" com um financeiro inglês, de um hotel na Quinta do Lago à Parvalorem. Tem dois livros editados em Portugal, e artigos científicos publicados em revistas internacionais como a "Applied Financial Economics", a "Financial History Review", o "International Journal of Financial Research" e a "ISRN Economics".

Teresa Maria Rocha Vieira is an assistant professor at Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE-IUL). Graduated in economics at the University of Coimbra, she holds a specialization title in management and administration, title awarded by the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda, Polytechnic Institute of Viseu and Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco. Since the year 2003 she has been developing her activity as a consultant for business and business management. She has been responsible for the elaboration and coordination of several projects in the area of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Commercial and project management consultant. Previously, she was a partner and CEO of several companies in various sectors of activity.
