5. Valuation of environmental goods: methods and applications; sustainability indicators: Green National Accounting, Sustainable Development Goals and subjective well-being.

Assessment throughout the semester includes:
- Individual component
i) Participation (10%): the student should intervene constructively in discussions, coming to class prepared (namely in terms of required readings) and also participate online on the platform indicated in class;
ii) Quizzes (40%): there will be two short (20 min) quizzes;
There is a global minimum grade of 8,5v for the individual component.

- Group report (50%): critical analysis of a chosen topic
Students must disclose their use of AI tools in group assignments, including transparency about when and how these tools were utilized in their work process. In particular, every assignment must state clearly which tools were used, at what stages of the work development, in what manner, and their relevance to the content of the final work. An oral defense of the work may be required as a complement, for clarification of student contributions.

The student may, alternatively, choose to be assessed through a final exam (100%).

The learning objectives will be achieved through practical and reflective activities, supported by the active and participatory teaching method which emphasizes experiential learning. Classes will consist of activities such as: Theatrical experiences and group discussions; Practical activities; Presentations and exhibitions of autonomous work; Individual reflection.

The assessment of the Public Presentations with Theatrical Techniques course aims to gauge the development of students' skills in essential aspects of public presentations. The assessment structure includes activities covering different aspects of the experiential learning process involving both theatrical techniques and specific communication techniques.
Assessment throughout the semester includes activities covering different aspects of the process of preparing a public presentation, including group and individual work activities:
Group activities (50%) [students are challenged to perform in groups of up to 5 elements, made up randomly according to each activity proposal].
1-Practical Presentations: Students will be assessed on the basis of their public presentations throughout the semester:
Description: each group receives a presentation proposal and must identify the elements of the activity and act in accordance with the objective.
The results of their work are presented in class to their colleagues (Time/group: presentation - 5 to 10 min.; reflection - 5 min.). Assessment (oral): based on active participation, organization of ideas and objectivity in communication, vocal and body expression, the use of theatrical techniques and performance. Presentations may be individual or group, depending on the proposed activities.
Individual activities (50%)
1-Exercises and Written Assignments (Autonomous Work):
Description: In addition to the practical presentations, students will be asked to carry out exercises and written tasks related to the content covered in each class. These activities include reflecting on techniques learned, creating a vision board, analyzing academic objectives, student self-assessment throughout the semester, answering theoretical questions and writing presentation scripts.
Assessment: (Oral component and written content), organization, content, correct use of the structure and procedures of the autonomous work proposed in each class, ability to answer questions posed by colleagues and the teacher. Communication skills and the quality of written work will be assessed, with a focus on clarity of presentation. These activities will help to gauge conceptual understanding of the content taught.
There will be no assessment by final exam, and approval will be determined by the weighted average of the assessments throughout the semester.
General considerations: in the assessment, students will be given feedback on their performance in each activity.
To complete the course in this mode, the student must attend 80% of the classes. The student must have more than 7 (seven) points in each of the assessments to be able to remain in evaluation in the course of the semester.

The main programme contents to be covered are:
CP1. Introduction to Non-Relational Databases for managing large volumes of data;
CP2. Data redundancy;
CP3. Data decentralisation to meet the objectives of various application examples;
CP4. Introduction to Cloud systems, namely MongoDB;
CP5. Data manipulation and extraction in MongoDB;
CP6. Development of a data management application with BackEnd and FrontEnd;
CP7: Advanced decentralised systems: DLT and Blockchain.

Assessment throughout the semester:
-Individual participation in class (10%): Evaluates attendance, including compulsory attendance at 16 of the classes, involvement and individual contributions by students in discussions and practical activities.
- Group project focused on the development of a software tool (40%): students are organised into groups of 3 to 5 elements, formed at random, with support from the teacher. 2-part assessment with components assessed in groups (delivery of report, presentation slides) and individually (oral demonstration and discussion of the work) which takes place mid-semester for the first phase of the project (Backend: 20%) and at the end of the semester for the second phase of the project, potentially in the penultimate class of the semester (FrontEnd: 20%);
- Individual written test taken in the last class (50%): Individual theoretical/practical test without consultation.
The weighted average of each of these components (not less than 8 points in each component) constitutes the final grade which, if it is greater than or equal to 10 points, will exempt the master's student from an exam. Thus, only master's students who do not obtain a positive mark in this assessment throughout the semester can take the written exam (100%) - 1st season, 2nd season and special season. If Artificial Intelligence resources and tools are used, they must be clearly mentioned in the results. Just as articles, books websites and other sources used in a report are referenced, the use of AI must also be referenced and used only as a support and research tool. In this sense, whenever AI is used to perform a specific task, this contribution must be mentioned, ensuring that originality and academic integrity are maintained. For example, each student may include a brief statement at the end of a paper explaining the role of AI in the process developed to complete the paper.
AI tools cannot be used to generate entire reports or plagiarise content. If this happens, the assessment will be penalised.

The assessment of this course is achieved by:
- 50% - group project, of 2 students, with a public presentation and demonstration. Minimum score of 8/20.
- 50% - Individual written test. Minimum score of 8/20.
The 50% written test can be attended in any examination period, including special season, when the student is entitled to it.
Assessment by project is compulsory in any examination period, but its implementation must be monitored throughout the semester by the professor.

Evaluation in the curricular unit follows the evaluation modalities provided for in the RGACC, specifically evaluation throughout the semester and evaluation by exam.
Evaluation throughout the semester implies attendance in, at least 80% of classes. It comprises the following assessment instruments: group work with a written report (30%) and presentation in class (10%); individual written test without consultation (60%). In each instrument, the classification must be equal to or higher than 8 points. Approval is obtained with a final grade equal to or greater than 9.5 points.

The evaluation by exam includes the completion of an individual written test without consultation (100%). This runs exclusively during the evaluation period and focuses on all the subjects taught at the curricular unit. Approval is obtained with a classification equal to or higher than 9.5 points. Students who have opted for it and students who have not passed the evaluation modality throughout the semester are admitted to this evaluation modality.

In addition to the RGACC, other reference documents for the evaluation process are the Regulation for Students with Special Status and the Code of Academic Conduct, whose reading is recommended.

(1) Group work of 3-5 students (30% of the final grade).
(2) 1st chance exam (70% of the final grade for students under the periodic evaluation system and 100% for the others). The 1st chance exam for students under the periodic evaluation system cannot be lower than 7.5.

The resitting and special exams will occur under the conditions of the master assessment rules with a weight of 100%.
