"Mindján tela em trânsito" procura esmiuçar os fluxos transnacionais de saberes, práticas e bens terapêuticos que acompanham os santomenses na sua trajetória de mobilidade. Ancorada numa pesquisa etnográfica multi-situada entre múltiplos contextos em Portugal e São Tomé e Príncipe esta proposta de investigação pretende contribuir para uma análise crítica dos processos de legitimação e negociação entre saberes e práticas terapêuticas, de (i)materialização das plantas em medicamentos, bem como refletir sobre os contornos da flexibilidade do próprio conhecimento tendo por base o seu caráter eminentemente circulatório e transformativo. Os processos de (re)configuração de saberes e práticas despontam de uma análise das redes de (re)produção, de uso, de acumulação, de adaptação e de intercâmbio de conhecimentos, mas também das dinâmicas no trânsito de bens e práticas que possam desvendar contextos de (re)criação das sociabilidades terapêuticas. Paralelamente, (re)constroem-se percursos de saúde que permitem descortinar os elos entre práticas terapêuticas e consumos diversificados e, por conseguinte, destrinçar os processos de sustentabilidade social dos recursos medicinais naturais. Em reflexão sobre os processos de biopolitização das medicinas e da hierarquização dos saberes e das práticas em saúde, navega-se pelos meandros da relação organizacional (ou ausência dela) entre a medicina da terra - local e a biomedicina.

"Mindján tela in transit" seeks to scrutinize the transnational flows of knowledge, practices and therapeutic things that accompany the São Toméans in their mobility trajectory. Anchored in multi-situated ethnographic research between multiple contexts in Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe, this study proposal aims to contribute to a critical analysis of the processes of legitimation and negotiation between therapeutic knowledge and practices, the (i)materialization of plants into medicines, as well as to reflect on the contours of the flexibility of knowledge itself based on its eminently circulatory and transformative character. The processes of (re)configuration of knowledge and practices emerge from an analysis of the (re)production, use, accumulation, adaptation and exchange of knowledge networks, but also of the dynamics in the transit of things and practices that unveil contexts of (re) creation of therapeutic sociabilities. Simultaneously, the (re)construction of health itineraries make it possible to unveil the links between medical practices and diversified consumption and, consequently, to disentangle the processes of social sustainability of natural medicinal resources. Reflecting on the processes of biopoliticization of medicine and the hierarchization of knowledge and practices in health, we navigate through the intricacies of the organizational relationship (or lack thereof) between local medicine and biomedicine.
