tratamento e análise dos dados recolhidos, utilizou-se o SPSS (Statistical Package for the
Social Sciences).

This paper can be inserted in the scope of action of the Recognition, Validation and
Certification of formal or informal Capacities (RVCC) and it has as an object of analysis
a deep reflection on the relation between the certification given by the RVCC process
and the fulfilment of more complex capacities in a professional work environment.
The theoretical support in terms of references was created based on a group of
resolutions defined in the Strategy of Lisbon and on another group related to the
European Councils, especially the “so-called” Spring European Councils. The Strategy
of Lisbon established as a main objective “making the European Economic Area the
most dynamic and competitive space in the World, based on know-how and technology
in order to ensure a sustainable economic growth, before 2010”. This goal can only be
fulfilled if the Member States decide to adopt in due time the directives that plead for the
investment in Human Resources, applying Educational and Formative Policies, in order
to “accomplish the economic, social and environmental objectives...“.
In what concerns the empiric work it was used an inquiry based on a Questionnaire sent
to a group of 109 people certified by the RVCC process and working in the same
Institute. In order to handle and analyse the received data the SPSS tool (Statistical
Package for Social Sciences) was used.
In the conclusions we introduce the results of our research and try to set up a
contribution to define new ways of action inside or outside the “labour world”.
