O presente trabalho tem como objetivo determinar padrões culturais distintivos da sociedade portuguesa, observados por uma perspetiva da cultura russa. Como tal os resultados obtidos são exclusivamente aplicados à comparação e correlação entre as ambas as culturas, não sendo possivel sua extrapolação. A pesquisa teve por base o metodo científico "Cultural Standards Method". Esta metodologia orienta toda a pesquisa para a qualidade da informação que está oculta, realçando as caracteristicas culturais. Este método baseia-se na realização de entrevistas a cidadãos de naturalidade russa que partilham da experiência de viver em Portugal e que através de uma conversa informal vão identificando valores culturais relevantes que se destacam. Em suma o presente trabalho está dividido em 3 fases. No primeiro momento é feita uma análise das metodologias já existentes sobre cruzamentos culturais incluindo as dimensões de Hofstede´s.Na segunda fase são relatados os dados obtidos através das entrevistas realizadas a 22 individuos russos a residir em Portugal, seguindo a metodologia do "Cultural Standards Method". Os padrões identificados nas respostas dos participantes são agrupados seguindo a mesma lógica.Por último, na 3ª fase procede-se à interpretação dos dados recolhidos nas entrevistas dos participantes. Estes dados são compilados e apresentados aos participantes e a não participantes por forma a se certificar que os dados obtidos estão corretos e a informação fidedigna. Por fim encontram-se os seguintes padrões da cultura portuguesa; Gestão do Tempo, Importância das Relações Sociais, Falta de Objetivos e Passividade, Belevolência e Tolerância

The aim of the current thesis is to determine Portuguese Cultural Standards from the Russian perspective; moreover, the outcomes of the current work are solely valid for Russian- Portuguese collation. The research is based on the Cultural Standards Method, a modern qualitative research tool for the cultural features definition. This method is based on the narrative interviews, on purpose to detect the cultural values at a more subtile layer. In the given thesis, the Russian representatives share the experience, which they acquire during the encounters with the Portuguese culture. In general, there are three main parts of the given work. Firstly, the analysis of already existence cross-cultural methodology is presented, including the Hofstede`s dimensions. Next phase: the interviews with twenty-two Russian representatives are conducted on the basis of the Cultural Standards Method. Afterwards, the most frequent mentioned cultural standards are chosen and formed in the logic groups. At the final stage the feedback is obtained from the interviewees and the other Russian non-participants; this feedback has confirmed and supported the outcomes of the actual research. Finally, the following Portuguese cultural standards from the Russian perspective are received: Fluid Time Management, Importance of Social Relations, Lack of goal orientation and Passivity, Goodwill and Tolerance.
