A presente dissertação tem como título “Intervenção em contexto escolar, com alunos com Necessidades Educativas Especiais” norteada por dois objetivos gerais: compreender a prática do Assistente Social, em contexto escolar, com alunos Necessidades Educativas Especiais e analisar as práticas de intervenção dos atores, em contexto escolar, com alunos com Necessidades Educativas Especiais. De modo a compreender a prática do Assistente Social tornou-se necessário identificar funções e competências do Assistente Social, na intervenção com alunos com Necessidades Educativas Especiais, sistematizar métodos e técnicas dos Assistentes Sociais, na intervenção com alunos com Necessidades Educativas Especiais, analisar a intervenção do Assistente Social, na relação com as famílias e a comunidade e compreender o agir profissional do Assistente Social no que respeita a possibilidades, limites e constrangimentos. Paralelamente procedeu-se à análise da articulação entre as diversas áreas de intervenção, numa perspetiva interdisciplinar. No que concerne aos procedimentos metodológicos, o presente estudo é abordado numa lógica indutiva, compreendendo o tipo de estudo descritivo e orientado pelo paradigma qualitativo. Referente à recolha de dados utilizaram-se as técnicas de entrevista e observação nas equipas do CRI e da ELI da CERCI Lisboa. Deste modo realizaram-se três observações em contexto, e nove entrevistas, salientando a análise de conteúdo como técnica de tratamento de dados.

This dissertation is titled "The intervention in schools with students with Special Educational Needs”, guided by two general objectives: understanding the practice of the Social Worker, in schools with students Special Educational Needs and analyze the intervention methods of the actors, in schools with students with Special Educational Needs. In order to understand the practice of the Social Worker it was necessary to identify the roles and responsibilities assigned to the Social Worker, as well as systematize the methods and techniques needed, on the intervention with students with Special Educational Needs. It was also crucial to analyze the intervention of the Social Worker in regards to the families and the community, and understand the professional act of the social worker regarding the possibilities, limits and restraints. At the same time, I proceeded to the analysis of the links between the various areas of intervention, in an interdisciplinary perspective. Regarding the methodological procedures, this study is approached in an inductive logic, including the type of descriptive study, guided by the qualitative paradigm. Concerning the data collection, we used the interview and observation techniques in Lisbon’s CERCI CRI and ELI teams. Thus it took place three observations in context and nine interviews, emphasizing the content analysis and data processing technique.
