As políticas de reinserção social têm o objetivo de melhorar o estilo de vida dos indivíduos mais frágeis e carenciados da sociedade. Este estudo, realizado no Estabelecimento Prisional de Tires, abrangendo mulheres em cumprimento de pena e em situação preventiva, procura compreender como são percecionadas as políticas de reinserção social, focadas na educação, formação profissional e ocupação laboral e o impacto que têm para estas mulheres, e para uma melhoria do seu estilo de vida, pós conclusão da sentença que cumprem. Para a realização desta investigação foram realizadas 15 entrevistas presenciais, semiestruturadas; através das quais foi possível recolher as perceções da experiência das reclusas sobre as políticas de reinserção social. Das entrevistas realizadas salientam-se alguns pontos positivos decorrentes das políticas de reinserção social em vigor tais como: a possibilidade de conclusão dos estudos (podendo aumentar o seu nível de escolaridade); aquisição de formação especializada; desempenhar funções laborais em diversas áreas, permitindo a aprendizagem de novas competências. Quanto aos pontos a melhorar destaca-se a manifestação das reclusas relativamente à oferta ocupacional e formativa, uma vez que ambas se encontram limitadas; bem como a necessidade de um melhoramento no acompanhamento por parte das entidades prisionais, pós cumprimento de sentença. Em suma e ainda que de forma geral, os aspetos positivos destacam-se no discurso destas mulheres, que percecionam as políticas de reinserção social como benéficas no que concerne à melhoria no campo educacional e profissional.

The social reintegration policies aim to improve the lifestyle of the more fragile and lacking members of society. This study, realized in the Prison Establishment of Tires, includes women serving sentences and in preventive detention, searches a way to comprehend how the social reintegration policies are viewed, with focus on education, vocational training and employment, and the impact that these methods have on these women to improve their lifestyle after their sentences conclusion. To conduct this investigation, 15 face-to-face semi-structured interviews were made, from which was possible to gather the perception of the opinion of the female inmates about the social reintegration policies. In these interviews, we can emphasize some positive notes as result of the social reintegration policies in use like, a possibility of conclusion of an academic level (possible increase in the level of education); obtaining specialized formation; being able to work in diversified areas, allowing the acquisition of new skills. In the main points marked for improvement the opinion of the female inmates highlights the educational and labour activity offers, since both are limited; also the need to improve the follow-up on behalf of the institution entities after the sentence’s ending. In conclusion, overall, the positive features stand out in these women speeches, with the feeling that the social reintegration policies are seen as helpful in improving the educational and professional field.
