Areas of Activity to making Iscte-Health a reality:
Iscte-Health is focusing on multiple activities, under the purpose of improved knowledge on all matters relevant to the betterment of societal health, that serve to add value to that knowledge but also to ensure that it is impactful.
1 - New Health Staff 2030 – development, capacity-building and education for all in the health sector
This is an area of activity focused in developing educational offers. It integrates multiple initiatives from Iscte and its participated entities in an Iscte-Health vision: more societal, more digital and more transdisciplinary.
2 - Societal health Scientific Hub SH2 - Interdisciplinary space for applied health research.
Focused in creating a space for interdisciplinar research applied to health this area of activity explored new projects, new application for innovative funding and the dissemination of existing results. This in done through 3 areas:
- Interdisciplinary research projects (Pi2) – focusing on explored new projects, new application for innovative funding
- Via a laboratory of ideas and intervention in health (Labi2) – it aims to offer knowledge services to outside in the area of health,
- Regular meetings for the interchange of works, ideas, and proposals (Reuni2).
3 - Internacional landscape
Exploring the existing relationship between Iscte and Southen Medical University in China (SMU-China), expanding scope of research into Healthcare Systems and Management at BRU research center:
4 – Communication (On3)
- Online - maintenance of a dynamic future website within ISCTE and use of IT
- On Stage – Conference Cycles and Scientific Performances - Health_on_Stage
- OnYou – communication targeted at a personal level via social media towards faculty, students and allumi
