O Setor Educativo está em constantes mudanças influenciadas pelos fenómenos da globalização. As Instituições Internacionaissão importantes na formulação e coordenação das políticas educativas a nível mundial, e na Internacionalização da Educação. Este trabalho tem como objetivo de estudo compreender como as Instituições/Organizações Internacionais influenciaram o sistema educativo em São Tomé e Príncipe (STP), bem como a qualidade de ensino neste país. Pretende-se identificar os impactos que as recomendações destas organizações tiveram no setor educativo do país. Foi adotada uma metodologia qualitativa, onde se buscou evidências desta influência e parceria no setor educativo, através da análise documental. Os documentos recolhidos sobre São Tomé e Príncipe pertencem ao Ministério de Educação e Ensino Superior (MEES), e o Instituto Marquês de Vale Flôr (IMVF). A análise tornou evidentes as melhorias significativas a nível educativo em São Tomé e Príncipe com estas parcerias e apoios. Em contrapartida ficou claro que existe grande dependência do país face ao apoio internacional, bem como na ajuda para melhorar nas suas políticas educativas e ensino de forma generalizada.

The Education Sector is in constant change influenced by the phenomena of globalisation. International Institutions are important in the formulation and coordination of educational policies worldwide, and in the Internationalization of Education. This study aims to understand how the International Institutions/Organizations have influenced the education system in Sao Tome and Principe (STP), as well as the quality of education in this country. It aims to identify the impacts that the recommendations of these organizations have had on the country's education sector. A qualitative methodology was adopted, where evidence of this influence and partnership in the education sector was sought through documentary analysis. The documents collected on São Tomé and Príncipe belong to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEES), and the Instituto Marquês de Vale Flôr (IMVF). The analysis made evident the significant improvements at the educational level for Sao Tome and Principe with these partnerships and support. On the other hand, it was clear that the country is highly dependent on international support, as well as on help to improve its education policies and education in general.
