Este projeto foi desenvolvido com o intuito de elaborar um produto turístico com a finalidade de dar a conhecer a identidade dos Mindelenses e valorizar o património cultural edificado, contribuindo para o turismo cultural da cidade do Mindelo, na ilha de São Vicente, Cabo Verde. Na realização deste projeto fez-se uma revisão bibliográfica, relativamente aos conceitos de turismo, património cultural e identidade. De seguida, fez-se uma caracterização do centro histórico da cidade do Mindelo, um levantamento histórico e traços da identidade do Mindelo, uma vez que é imprescindível mostrar os marcos dessa cidade como um potencial do turismo cultural da ilha, com o objetivo último de valorizar o seu património cultural edificado. Foi realizada uma pesquisa do tipo descritiva e exploratória, em que se utilizou o método da observação direta no levantamento do património cultural edificado do centro histórico do Mindelo, com o fim último de que se pudesse recolher dados que permitissem criar um produto turístico capaz de dar a conhecer os patrimónios edificados e as suas histórias com enfoque nos turistas que visitam a cidade pela primeira vez.

This Project was developed with the purpose of creating a tourist product in order to make known the identity of the Mindelenses and enhance the built cultural heritage, contributing to the cultural tourism of the city of Mindelo, on the island of São Vicente, Cape Vert. In the realization of this project, a bibliographic review was made on the concepts of tourism, cultural heritage and identity. Then, a characterization of the historical center of the city of Mindelo, a historical survey, traces of the identity of Mindelo, since it is essential to show the landmarks of this city as a potential of island’s cultural tourism, with the final objective of valuing its built cultural heritage. A descriptive and exploratory research was made out using the method of direct observation in the survey of the cultural heritage built in the historical center of Mindelo, with the final aim of being able to collect data that would allow to create a tourist product able to make known the built heritage and its stories with focus on the tourists who visit the city for the first time.
