UNDERGRADUATE

Graduation from an undergraduate programme occurs upon the successful completion of all the curricular units indicated in the study plan.

MASTER’S

Graduation from a master’s programme starts with the submission of the dissertation/project and the scheduling of the defense. The submission of the dissertation requires the student to have first completed all the curricular units in the study plan. If the submission of the dissertation/project does not occur fully within the expected deadline for this task, from June 30th to September 30th, as an exception the university may allow the defense to occur between September 30th and October 31st, upon the payment of additional fees.

If the formal submission of the dissertation/project does not occur before October 31st, the student must enroll in a new academic year, and pay the consequent tuition fees.

Graduation from the master’s occurs upon the defense of the dissertation/project.

PhD

Graduation from a PhD programme begins with the submission of the thesis/compilation of articles and the application for admission to the doctorate exams. If the thesis/compilation of articles cannot be fully submitted before September 30th, once the services are informed, as an exception the university may allow submission until the last business day of December.

If formal submission of the thesis does not occur before the final business day of December, the student must enroll in the new academic year, and pay the consequent tuition fees.

The conclusion of the doctorate occurs upon the completion of the public defense.

ISSUE OF CERTIFICATIONS

Requests for certifications, course cards or diplomas requires the payment of the fees detailed in the terms of the Fee Table. The issue of any of these documents is only possible for students with no outstanding tuition debts.

No outstanding tuition debts implies full payment of all enrollment and tuition fees, that is, all the payment installments related to the current and previous academic years. The payment of tuition is annual (its division into multiple installments aims only to make payments easier for the students).
