In a world increasingly concerned with environmental sustainability, this research paper addresses the growing need for effective green corporate practices. The paper aims to identify and analyze strategies that enable today’s companies to enhance their environmental performance. By carrying out a systematic literature review as well as multiple interviews to companies of variable sizes from different industries, followed by analyzing the data from the interviews to detect patterns and commonalities, this paper investigates the practices that could contribute to environmental sustainability and assess their impact. The findings mainly highlight the importance of organizational commitment, leadership, effective communication systems and harnessing technological advancements as well as employee engagement in driving sustainable initiatives. The paper also identifies challenges in evaluating progress over time and prioritizing sustainability within organizations. Therefore, businesses are provided with valuable observations into corporate sustainability practices, offering relevant for companies looking to balance profits as well as environmental performance and responsibility.
