THE University Impact Rankings
In 2019, Iscte was ranked for the first time in the THE University Impact Rankings, a pioneering initiative of the Times Higher Education, which aims to capture unique new insights on universities’ work towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). In 2023, Iscte was ranked among the Top 600 universities in the world. It was also ranked in 10 of the 17 SDGs being considered for this ranking.

About THE University Impact Rankings
THE University Impact Rankings aims to evaluate universities’ performance in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). There are 17 SDGs, which were adopted by the United Nations in 2016 to provide a framework for developing a more sustainable world. The first edition of this new Times Higher Education ranking was in April 2019. In 2023, there were 1591 participating universities from 112 countries.
